Prayer Ministry examines the need of being taught to pray and the essential positive effects of the habit of prayer. Reading of Genesis 1-2, also reading of Our LORD’s Prayer Matthew 6: 9. Continuance of the tradition of Prayer which began as seen in Genesis 4: 26 And to Seth, to him also, there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

Communication with God is the essential trough of our daily walk.

“Little Stitchwort” by Jacky Parker A single white spring flowering Greater Stitchwort flower – Stellaria Holostea

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these” (Matthew 6:28-29).

The Lord says, you shall prosper you shall not fail because you are connected to the vine and your fruit shall feed the nations.* Structure your prayer beginning with the Blood of Jesus covering you, protecting you, covering your expectation and bringing you victory. Cover your family. Pray that the unseen world manifests (the spiritual world) granting a healed body, full restoration and Liberty in Christ. There will be a release from economic bondage in 2015 and a break away from blood-line (iniquity) curses. Seek after Greater Dimensions, Greater Anointing, Greater Ministry, Greater Service, Greater Faith, Greater Blessings and Greater Giving in 2015. You shall abide in WET LANDS (fertile areas) where every provision is met, and where Growth, Maturity, Perfection and Christ-likeness abides (1/5/15* 1/7/15).

To be anxious or troubled

"He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing" Job 28:10.
“He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing” Job 28:10.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful* for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Anxious* NIV, NKJV)

Personal Development

Preceded by Wisdom and is followed by Accountability

Protagonist: Prayer    Antagonist: Worry

AUTHOR’S POV “Prayer results in an indescribable and immediate sense of peace.  That peace allows me to continue with what I need to do, in the confidence and assurance that God will work everything thing out” (Page 377).

Where there is Wisdom,

It is know that any day may have unforeseen hazards;

Therefore, it is a good practice to begin the day with prayer.

There is Accountability.

Endurance is not the only source of a good character (Rom. 5:4); prayer is at the root of a good character which supplies one with __________ (see protagonist).

Fear not, for I am with you: be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes I will help you.  I will uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

If you fail to do a private act(prayer), antagonists shall be seen in public.

Act 1: Prayer (Matthew 6:5-6) “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which see thin secret shall reward thee openly

Act 2: Fasting (Matthew 6:16) … “when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast” …

Act 3: Giving (Matthew 6:2) “do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have their reward.”  “He that giveth let him do it with simplicity” (Romans 12:8b).

These acts should be done in simplicity and when possible in private, people should not do these things for the admiration and respect of peers but for the Glory of God.  However, there are times when the church or the nation calls corporate fasting, prayer or giving.  Praise does not fall in this category!

AUTHOR’S POV “To break the habit of worry, you must develop the habit of prayer.  It is there in the lonely place that you will gain the perpective and peace you need to handle the stress of life without sacrificing your relationships and health along the way” (page 378).  Prayer is something we learn to do.  We are not born knowing how to pray.  We are not even born again knowing how to prayer.  We like the disciples, must learn to pray” (page 539).

  1. Prayer is a choice of will I Cor. 14: 15b “I will pray with the understanding also.”
  1. Pray without ceasing I Thess. 5:18-17 “Rejoice evermore”…
  1. Prayer is a state of Mind Isa 26:3 “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee”…
  1. We do not pray (fast) to change God’s mind we pray (fast) to get the mind of God.”

      Heart & Mind Regulation

How does worry cause physical changes in your body?

Are these changes permanent?

The Prayer of Supplication: “in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil 4:6).

1. Fear is a chief enemy (men’s heart fail them because of fear, cite scripture)

2. Conclusion from Advice from the impetuous one: Peter “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (I Peter 5:7).

The heart is the central point of man: it is where the King resides, the most holy place of man.  We are in a war and the enemy wishes to conquer your heart by attacking your mind with worry and the mind is the battle field.  Soon he tries to get you to co-sign by getting you to speak contrary to the promises, covenants and realities of God.  Whose report will you believe?  You and God are the majority.  You must hold fast to the Word of God.  Therefore, it is better to endure hardship keep quiet and wait for your change to come and work toward the end that God had promised you, than to complain and worry.

Don’t be discouraged by what others do or say to you.  Do not let your emotional component be driven to tears because of a personal attack or criticism that is aimed to hurt, from some other.  Let your tears (anointing) flow out for others who you touch to heal, to help and mend.  I have given you power over serpents over devils and nothing shall no means hurt you.  In this life there may be some difficult days ahead but be assured, My glory rests upon you, follow my ways, be My Priest, speak my words and you’ll walk into your desire.  Rule with diligence and be not afraid of the terrors of night or the arrow that flies by day.  Be entrenched, be delivered (1/30/14).

Vocabulary: Prayer:  It is a spirit of not giving up until the answer comes from Heaven.

“I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth” (Luke 11:8).

(I John 5:14).
